The Local newsletter is your free, daily guide to life in Colorado. For locals, by locals.
Local comic-strip creators and graphic novelists turn the conventional book reading on its head today. Instead of the requisite author talk followed by a Q&A, the artists are hosting a fair, the Cowtown Alternative Comix Festival, featuring illustrators (John Porcellino, pictured here, and Felix Tannenbaum), comic-book exhibits, and panels that cover wide-ranging subjects like how to syndicate a comic strip or “Robots, Love, and Allegory.”
